Progress on EV Strategy

ByBrad Bradford

The race to respond to climate change is on, and here at the City of Toronto we have set an aggressive target for ourselves: reaching net zero emissions by 2040. But, our EV charging infrastructure is lacking – with only .2 chargers for 1000 residents. If we want #Toronto to reach its goal of 30% electric vehicles by 2030 – we need to accelerate the pace.

Happy to see Council take steps towards this progress. We approved a series of new charging stations (with 3 stations coming here to #BEY on Roseheath, Strathmore, and Queen St. E) so folks can keep making the switch to EV 🙌
