Today, we honoured Bangladesh’s 51st Independence Day with an official flag raising with many wonderful community members, and colleagues MPP @dolybegumssw and Cllr @cllrcrawford20. The perseverance and resiliency of Toronto’s Bangladeshi communities is a constant source of inspiration, right here in #BEY and across our city.
Bangladeshi communities have played a huge role in shaping the cultural fabric of our city, while building vibrant communities and reminding us of the importance of standing for sovereignty and freedom. An honour to be out with so many leaders and residents for this special #BangladeshIndependanceDay moment.
